Cost for Nepal Visa

All the foreign nationals (except Indian nationals) are required to obtain Visa while entering Nepal. Nepalese Visa can be obtained either at Nepalese Embassy of respective country or can be obtained during your arrival at the International Airport in Kathmandu or from the Nepal’s border entry point.

VISA cost depends on the number of days you will be staying.

The fee for a Nepal visa is as follows:

$30 – 15-days multiple entry visa

$50 – 30-days multiple entry visa

$125 – 90-days multiple entry visa

Extension of Visa for tourist is done by immigration department and can be extent for minimum 15 days not exceeding the 150 days. It costs USD 3 per day and USD 5 per day as late fine in case of delay.

Cost for Trekking Permit

Manaslu is restricted area which is completely controlled by Nepal Government. Hence, any group with minimum 2 Trekkers going to Manaslu Area need to obtain special permit, MCAP (Manaslu Conservation Area Permit) and ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Permit). Specially, the restricted permit depends on the number of days in trek. Likewise, if you are trekking to Tsum Valley along with Manaslu Circuit Trek, then you are required to obtain separate permit for both the region.

MCAP and ACAP cost USD 30 per person for each permit.

  • The special permit cost of Manaslu region is USD 100 per week and USD 15 per day is additional to week permit for trekking during September to November.
  • The special permit cost of Manaslu region is USD 75 per week and after a week, USD 10 per day is additional to week permit for trekking during December to August

Likewise,

  • Tsum Valley Permit cost starting from September to November is USD 40 per person per week and beyond a week, additional USD 7 per person per day
  • Cost of Special Permit staring from December to August is USD 30 per person per week and USD 7 per person per day is additional beyond one week

The special permit is obtain only after you arrive in Kathmandu and handover your original passport to us.

Cost of Transportation

Manaslu Circuit Trek is done by road transport or Helicopter ride.  If you are planning for budget trek, then you can take a public sharing bus from Kathmandu Bus Station to Sotikhola, starting stop for Manaslu Circuit Trek.  It cost around USD 35 per person and usually leave at 6 am in the morning. Likewise, you can also catch a public sharing bus from Besisahar (trek ending Point) to Kathmandu and it takes approximately USD 30 per person. Additionally, you also have option for private drive to SotiKhola or Macchakhola. Private drive is comfortable but expensive comparing to sharing bus. It costs around USD 350 depending on the last stop you choose. Helicopter ride is also a good option however it is expensive. The best option to reduce the cost of transport is sharing with group.
