Upper Mustang Trek is an adventurous as well as a wonderful trip to the Trans Himalayan Kingdom following the Kali Gandaki River Valley along off beaten trail towards Highland settlement- Lo Manthang.
Upper Mustang Trek is a great adventure trek that takes you along the “off-beaten path” in the Trans-Himalayan trail and starts with an electrifying flight to Jomsom from Pokhara. It is an easy trek that goes along the bank of the deepest gorge of the world, the Kali Gandaki River, and takes you to the capital of Mustang, the Lo-Manthang at 3730 m. and is the highest point of this trip.
Entering the Majestic Kingdom Mustang, you will encounter the unique landscapes, picturesque villages, the ancient sky caves, and monasteries along with the culture, lifestyle, and heritage that remain unchanged for centuries to this date. The trail was once an important route for crossing the Himalayas between Tibet and Nepal, and many of the old salt caravans passed through Mustang.
In addition, if you have to wish to enjoy natural beauties, and enhance cultural experiences with limited time to explore the Hidden Kingdom, you can join us in our Short Upper Mustang Trek-12 Days. Meantime, if you are short of time, you can also explore the lower valley of Mustang- Jomsom Valley Trek.
