Everest Advanced Base Camp Trek, the highest trek in the world is an attempt to be at best possible closer to view the Everest\'s most stunning and secluded north face from Tibet without technical climbing gears or mountaineering skills as well as experience the beautiful, mountainous landscape of Tibet- the ‘Roof of the World’. Everest Advanced Base Camp trek is an ultimate journey to the base camp of the world’s highest mountain- The Mt. Everest from the Tibet. Starting the trip with insightful sightseeing tour in Kathmandu, you will fly to Lhasa- entry to the forbidden Land. At the mystical city Lhasa, you will explore some of the important landmark including Potala Palace (a summer Palace), Jokhang Temple (7th century temple made by Tsong Sang Gampo), Barkhor Street Market (biggest market for foreign goods in Tibet), and others. After leisure sightseeing of Lhasa, you will drive to Shigatse and finally to Lotingri where the actual trek begins. In between, you will also visit a couple of Tibetan landmarks like the impressive Tashilhunpo Monastery, Khumbum Stupa, Phalkot Monastery and others which showcase the rich culture and history of the Tibetans. Reaching the Advanced Base Camp of the world\'s highest mountain. This trip will be an incredible adventure trek along surreally sculpted Rongbuk Glacier to the Advance Base Camp for the north Col route up Mount Everest (8848m). As there won’t be any expeditions during autumn, the Base Camp and Advance Base Camp of Mount Everest (North side) will be virtually empty, devoid of the usual climbing crowd. It may be just you and your guides trekking alone on the mountain. So, savor this special moment of having the entire mountain to yourself!

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu, transfer to hotel (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: Dinner)
On your arrival in Kathmandu International Airport, one of our representative will pick up you and escort you to the hotel as well as help you to check-in at hotel. After your refreshment, you will be briefed about the next day trip. In the evening, we, the Hiking Nepal will offer you a welcome dinner introducing Nepalese cuisine and culture.
Day 02: Sightseeing of Kathmandu Cultural Heritage sites (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: Breakfast)
After having delightful breakfast, you will be introduced with guide and takes you to UNESCO Heritages sites of the valley where you will observe living heritage of Medieval Nepal - Witness the biggest Hindu temple of Nepal, Pashupatinath and capture the sacred moments of Hindu death ritual at Aryaghat in Pashupatinath. Stroll the lively streets of Kathmandu Old Market Asan to Kathmandu Durbar Square and visit the home of The Living Goddess Kumari, Nepalese style of Architecture as well as astonishing wooden carving. A short drive from Kathmandu Durbar Square will take you to a hill top stupa called as “Swyambhu” meaning “self -emerge” and belief that the hill emerged impulsively from the great lake that once covered Kathmandu valley.
Day 03: Fly to Lhasa, transfer to Hotel (Altitude: 3,650 m/11,972ft Meal: Breakfast)
Today, our driver will drop you to the Kathmandu International Airport for your flight to Lhasa. Flying from Kathmandu to Lhasa, is one of the most beautiful air routes in the world having exciting Trans-Himalayan flight over Mt. Everest (8848m), Kanchenjunga (8536m) and other Himalayan peaks. On your arrival in Lhasa, our Tibetan guide will meet you and transfer you to the Lhasa Hotel. It takes around 45 minutes to reach the old city. After checking in at your hotel, you are advised to take rest and take it easy. Drink plenty of fluids and let your body get used to Lhasa’s high altitude.
Day 04: Sightseeing in Lhasa: Potala Palace, Norbulingka Palace and Tibet Traditional Hospital: 5 /6 hours
After breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing of Potala Palace, and & Norbulinka. Potala Palace, this legendary palace built atop a single hill is synonymous with Tibet by the first foremost king Songtsen Gompa. Norbulingka meaning 'Treasure Park' covers an area of around 360000 sq. m. and is considered to be the biggest man made garden in Tibet. After sightseeing you will be transferred to hotel for your Overnight at hotel in Lhasa.
Day 05: Sightseeing in Lhasa: Sera Monastery, Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar: 5/6 hours
Today, you will be briefed about the upcoming program. After breakfast full day sightseeing of Sera Monastery, Jokhang Monastery, Barkhor Market. Sera Monastery, 5 Km north of Lhasa, Sera setting is one of Lhasa's prettiest monasteries. Once a community of more than 5,000 monks resided here and was virtually extinguished by the Chinese. Jokhang Temple, situated in the heart of Old Lhasa, it houses Tibet's most precious religious relic, a golden Shakyamuni Buddha which was brought as a gift by the Chinese Princess Wen Cheng on the occasion of her wedding to the Tibetan King, Songtsen Gompo. Barkhor Market place, which is the religious and social focus of Lhasa. After Sightseeing you will be transferred to hotel for your Overnight at hotel in Lhasa.
Day 06: Drive from Lhasa to Shigatse via Gyantse (Altitude: Shigatse: 3,900m/12,795 ft. Gyantse: 367km, 6/7 hours)
With delightful breakfast, you should get ready for a drive to Shigatse. It is the second largest city of Tibet lies in the west of Lhasa. The city is cultural, economic as well as political center of Tibet. The main attraction is the 600 years old majestic Tashilhunpo monastery that has a magnificent architectural style with golden roof and resplendent buildings. Dozens of monasteries belongings to different sect enhances the atmosphere of Buddhism. Shigatse or Xigatse is the capital of traditional Tsang province and an ancient city where The Panchen Lama, one of the spiritual leader of Tibet reside. On the way to Shigatse, you will be driving via Gyantse visiting Khamba-La pass (4794m), the Yamdrok Lake, and the view of Mt. Naxin Kang Sa (7252m). Gyantse, is also an ancient city of Tibet with history of more than 600 years. The city is notable for its restored Gyantse Dzong, the magnificent tiered of Kumbum (Chorten), and the Pelkor Chode Monastery. Visit important landmark of Gyantse, you will drive toward Shigatse. It will take approximately 2 and half hours to reach to Shigatse from the “Tibet Granary”-the Gyantse.
Day 07: Drive from Shigatse to Lotingri (Altitude: 4,050m/13,284 ft. Distance: 305km, 5/6 hours)
Visiting Tashilhunpo monastery in the morning, you will drive to Lotingri, the old Tingri which is also called as Dingri. It was an important trading spot where the Sherpas from Nepal exchange rice, grain and iron for the Tibetan wool, livestock and salt. On the way, you can capture the fabulous views of snowcapped mountains including Mt. Everest (8848m) and Shishapangma (8013m).
Day 08: Drive from Lotingri to Lungchang and trek to Lungchang Pang (Altitude: 4600m/15091ft Distance: 1 hour drive, Trek: 3/4 hours)
Today, you will be driving towards Lungchang from where, your trek officially begins. It will be approximately 1 hours’ drive entering to the admiring the beautiful landscape. Stopping for a while at Lungchang, you will begin to trek towards Lungchang Pang. It will be 3 to 4 hours walking along the up/down hills viewing the Himalayas.
Day 09: Lungchang Pang to Panga La Thang via Nam La Pass (Altitude: 4500m/ 16732ft. 5/6 hours)
After having energetic breakfast, you will get ready for your next destination, the Pang-La Thang. As, you climb up the valley, you will be crossing sprinkle mountains even hiding the Mt. Everest behind them. Then, your trail will turns to the south-east to climb the pass. The top of the pass is marked by cairns and prayers flags fluttering around. Your trek will end at Panga-La Thang for overnight stay.
Day 10: Pangla Thang to Rongbuk (Altitude: 5,000m/16,400ft. Distance: 15km, 4 - 5 hours
Begins a day with delightful Tibetan Breakfast and get ready for your next exciting destination- the Rongbuk. It is the nearest valley from the Everest Base Camp with distance of around 8 km. the trail offer the majestic views of snowcapped peaks including Mt. Everest (8,848m/29,029ft.), Mt. Makalu (8,481m/27,825ft.), Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m/27,940 ft.) and Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m/26,906 ft.). On reaching Rongbuk, along the magnificent views of the mountains, you can also explore the highest monastery on the earth- The Rongbuk Monastery.
Day 11: Rongbuk to Everest Base Camp (Altitude: 5,250m/17,220ft 4- 5 hours)
Now, here comes a time to reach to the Base of the highest mountain- Mt. Everest taking you to the altitude 5150m. The base camp itself is dry and barren, but the views of Everest more than compensates for it. Enjoy every moment and take a snap of this accomplishment with your camera. It is truly an awe-inspiring place with the sheer north face of the giant mountain towering above you.
Day 12: Acclimatization and Exploration at Everest Base Camp
You have a complete day to enchant yourself with wonderful memories at the Everest Base Camp. It will be a rest day for you to acclimatize you properly before gaining altitude. Today, you can climb and explore the nearby hill and enjoy the Himalayas.
Day 13: Everest Base Camp to Japanese Camp (Altitude: 5,460m/17,913ft. Distance: 12 Km, Trek: 3/4 hours
Today, you will start to trek alongside of the Rongbuk Glacier, an impressive frozen ocean of ice waves. You will walk for a while over the gravel terrain following the route skirts the east side of the Rongbuk Glacier and opens into a flat area at 5270m. Walking along the glacier path for an hour, you will be turning toward the left path taking you to the Japanese Camp. On the southwest, you can enjoy the view of Mt. Pumori (7145m) nestled next to the Kalapatthar comes into picture. After arriving at camp, you can also explore the East Rongbuk Glacier.
Day 14: Japanese Camp to Interim Camp (Altitude: 5,800m/19,028ft. Distance: 7 Km, 4/5 hours)
Considering the height and for further acclimatization, Interim Camp can prove very beneficial. The camp lies across the Far East Rongbuk glacier is the supper vantage point prior to trek to next Changtse Camp.
Day 15: Trek to Changtse Base Camp (Altitude: 5,950m/19,520ft. Distance: 5 Km, 3/4 hours)
Begins to trek for your next camp- Changtse Base Camp. Changtse is lies adjacent to the north of Everest. You will trek along moraine following the glacier to the right around the eastern flank of Changtse. The camp could be perfect spot to capture the best view the Mt. Everest. It will be short trek and spot to let you acclimatize with the height.
Day 16: Trek to Everest Advanced Base camp and back to Changtse Base Camp (Altitude: 6,340m/20,800ft. 7 to 8 hours
Most exciting and ultimate journey is reaching to the Everest Advanced Base Camp. As, you will continue to follow the east side of the Rongbuk Glacier, you will get closer to the Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhakpa Ri. Walking along the gravel hill leaving the glacier behind, you will step toward the final destination- Everest Advance Base Camp. Find yourself closer to the top of the world highest Mt. Everest. Capturing such a precious moment, you will retrace back to Chagtse Base Camp for overnight stay.
Day 17: Return to EBC and drive to Lotingri (Altitude: 4,348m/14,268ft. Trek: 5/6 hours trek, Drive: 2 hours)
Today, you will walk all the way downhill back to the base camp. The trekkers should always be very careful while retracing back from trekking and climbing, as there is high chances of getting injuries. Hence, it is better to slow down the trek avoiding any kind of altitude problems. You will stop for a while at base camp, then drive back to Tingri.
Day 18: Drive from Lotingri to Kerung (Altitude: 2800m/9186ft Drive: 4-5 hours
Today, you will leave Tibet and enter to Nepal. You will drive to Kerung, a small village of Nepal border to Tibet. Crossing a Kerung friendship bridge, you will finally enter to Nepal. Take rest and enjoy your stay at lodge.
Day 19: Drive from Kerung to Kathmandu
Wake up and get ready to leave Kerung with tummy full breakfast. You will drive along the snaky highway towards Kathmandu. On your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transfer to the hotel. Remaining time at your own. In the Evening, we, Hiking Nepal, would like to invite you a Farewell Dinner to celebrate the successful completion of Advanced Everest Base Camp Trek. You can share your experience, feedback us and give us a chance to make your evening a wonderful time. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 20: Final departure
Depart Kathmandu with lots of adventurous memories of the Tibet and Nepal Visit. Wish you a safe and wonderful journey.
